Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds the SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam for the appointment of Grade “B” and “C” category posts at various Government establishments, Ministries, Departments, and Offices.
SSC Combined Graduate Level exam is a four-tier system exam system, out of which tier I and tier II are computer-based exams, whereas for tier III and IV, job applicants take up a descriptive paper and a computer proficiency test or skill test & document verification. The entire process of registration and communication will be online through the official website of SSC CGL. Aspirants must qualify each phase of the SSC CGL exam to go on to the next one, before being finally selected.

The vacancy for SSC CGL 2021 exam will be released in due course of time on ssc.nic.in. The tentative number of vacancies for SSC CGL 2020-21 was 7035 in which 2891 vacancies were declared for the General category. Last year, a total of 8582 Vacancies were notified by SSC. Educational Qualification (as on 23/01/2022)
The minimum qualification for cgl exam is graduation. apart from this, there are certain posts that have some conditions that are given below.
Basic Qualification: Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at Higher Secondary (12th or equivalent) level OR Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
Assistant Audit Officer
Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute Additional Qualification: Cost & Management Accountant / Chartered Accountant / Company Secretary /Masters in Commerce/Business Studies/Business Administration (Finance)/ Business Economics.
Compiler
Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or Institution. Additionally, candidates must have studied either Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory or elective subject.
Assistant Section Officer (CSS)
Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Additional Qualification: In addition to the basic Undergraduate Degree, candidates must also qualify in the Computer Proficiency Test
Statistical Investigator Grade II
Basic Qualification: Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at Higher Secondary (12th or equivalent) level OR Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

SSC CGL 2021 Application Fee
- The required application fee is Rs. 100/-
- Exemption: No fee is required to be paid by female, SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates
- Applications fee should be paid only through SBI either in the form of challan or through SBI Net Banking or any other bank Credit/Debit Card. Challan form will be generated online
- To pay a fee in cash, the candidate should take the printout of challan generated online after the completion of Part-1 registration. Deposit the requisite fee in any branch of SBI and then continue with the Part-2 registration
- Those candidates who want to pay online can go directly to part-2 registration after completion of part-1 registration. Candidate must supply registration number and date of birth to continue to Part-2 registration

SSC CGL Exam Process
• All candidates who have applied successfully for SSC CGL 2021 exam, will be assigned Roll numbers and Admit Card for appearing in the Computer Based Examination (Tier-I).
• Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations.
• Separate cut-offs will be fixed for Paper-III of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), Paper-IV of Tier-II (i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer) and for Paper-I + Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).
• Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.
• In Tier-II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be required to appear in Paper-III and Paper-IV respectively.
SSC CGL minimum qualifying marks
SSC has introduced minimum qualifying marks in SSC CGL 2021 Exam. Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, each Paper of Tier-II and Tier-III Examination are as follows:
1. UR : 30%
2. OBC/ EWS : 25%
3. Others : 20%
SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria of Ex-Servicemen for Reservation Advantages under ESM Category
- Under the Central Government group “C” and “D”, if the ex-servicemen have already received the reservation benefits for re-employment in civilian jobs, are not capable of ESM Category reservation. They will be eligible for this specific reservation only when they will need to submit the self-declaration to the concerned employer and should provide all the necessary details of prior job applications in civil employment.
- If you want to enjoy the benefits of the reservation being an ex-serviceman, then they need to acquire the ex-serviceman status or they should do it within thin a year of the last application receipt. To appear the SSC CGL Exam, the aspirants require to have the specified physical standards before the final round of selection.
