Skill Tests:

In session 2 of Tier 2, candidates must undergo Data Entry Speed Test (DEST). The test includes the following:

  • Typing Test: The DEST Skill Test requires typing a passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes.

Key Features of Tier 2:

  • Merit-based: Performance in Tier 2 determines final merit and ranking
  • Post-specific: Different combinations of papers for different posts
  • Final Selection: Merit list is prepared based on Tier 2 performance
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Paper-1 is compulsory for all the posts. Paper-1 will be conducted in two sessions – Session–I & Session II, on the same day.
  • Session-I will include conducting Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III. Session II will include conducting Module II of Section-III. Therefore, the duration of Session-I will be 2 hours and 15 minutes and the duration of Session-II will be 15 minutes only.
  • Paper-2 is only for those candidates who have applied for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO).
  • Paper 3 is for candidates applying for the Assistant Audit Officer (AAO)/Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) post.
