Every year the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection holds the IBPS clerical cadre in multiple Public Sector Banks. IBPS started the Common Written Examination (CWE) in the year 2011 to recruit officers and clerks in Public Sector Banks. It accepts online application through its official website for registration of the examination. It is held at various locations throughout India. The mode of examination is online.

IBPS CLERK Eligibility Criteria – 2021
Educational Qualification
Graduation Degree from a University recognized by the Government of India.
Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree: Certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at the time of registration for the IBPS Bank-Clerk examination.
Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operation is a must as the IBPS Clerk exam is conducted online.
Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language

Candidates applying for IBPS CWE/Bank Clerk Examination should be one of the following:
1. Citizen of India
2. The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor.

The IBPS Clerk exam (CWE 7) for hiring candidates will be held online. The exam will be in two parts: Preliminary and Mains.
The IBPS Clerk preliminary examination is of one-hour duration and is conducted online. It has 3 sections with having 100 questions in total with a maximum score of 100 marks. There is negative marking in the IBPS Clerk Pre exam as 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. The section-wise details are given below:

The exam pattern of IBPS Clerk Mains is also changed. The main exam is also held online, the latest update by IBPS it has 4 sections there is 190 Question having a total score of 200 marks of 160 minutes duration. Last Year Computer Aptitude and Reasoning Ability section conduct Separately, but in the recent update both sections come together have 50 questions and the time duration is 45 minutes.
The candidates must attempt the sections in the same order and within the allotted time fixed by the examining body. The candidate can’t leave the existing section before the time allotted. The next section can only be attempted after the current section is completed. There is a negative marking with a deduction of 0.25 marks for every mistake.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:
A penalty for every incorrect answer will be marked in the Objective Tests of both Preliminary and Mains exams. Every wrong answer will be penalized by deducting 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question. There will be no penalty for leaving a question blank, i.e. in case, no answer is marked by the candidate.
IBPS Clerk Exam is not having any interview phase, therefore, the final selection is done on the basis of marks obtained by the aspirants in their Mains Exam. Therefore, IBPS Clerk Mains is a challenging phase which makes it mandatory for the aspirants to score well in Mains to grab a good position in the Final Merit list of IBPS Clerk 2021 Exam.

IBPS CLERK Pre-Exam Training 2021
The Nodal Banks/ Participating Organizations may organize pre-examination training for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates at certain centres as per the strategy issued by the Government of India. This is a kind of training session where candidates are acquainted with the type of questions, common mistakes, and tips for time management, best practices, basic tricks and approaches by experts from training organizations. The purpose is to give a level playing field to students from weaker sections that can’t afford coaching and make them aware of the general facet and recruitment procedure of the exam.
Candidates belonging to the above-mentioned categories can undergo training by signifying the same against a relevant column, at the time of applying on-line.
The pre-exam training is free of cost with other expenses like travel, food and lodging expenses are incurred by the candidate. Generally, it is conducted five days before the exam and the dates are announced on the official website. Please find below an indicative list of training centres:

IBPS will have some additional centers or remove some depending on the requirement. The Candidates who opt for pre-examination training should download their call letter for training by entering their registration number and password/ date of birth from the Bank’s website. Pre-Exam training call letter will not be sent by post.
